2011 Suzuki Swift

Suzuki Motors has decided to delay the re-launch of the Swift small car in US and the main reason behind this decision is the growing relation of Suzuki and Volkswagen in Japan. Experts are saying that the company is now focusing on growing the strength of yen against the Dollars.

The launch of Swift will now be made in 2011; the redesigned models have been brought for Japan and some for Europe as well but for the Us, the customers have to wait more. According to Steve Younan, head of product development and business development at American Suzuki “Plans were put on hold after Volkswagen bought about 20 percent of Suzuki this year.”

The company officials were of the belief that this delay is actually the part of broader review of how Suzuki and VW plan to align the product strategies for the future. A Spokesman from Suzuki’s side said that this delay is more dependent on the exchange rates than on VW.

Hyundai is planning to bring some really excited models for future; the company has announced seven new or redesigned models for the coming stretch of 24 months that is going to be ended in the fall of 2011. The company has a very strong aim to change the looks of showrooms with its future models and they are also claiming that the pace won’t end after these models will reach the streets.

The upcoming models include: the redesigned sub-compact car Accent, redesigned 2011 Elantra, small sporty coupe Veloster, Sonata Turbo, Azera, Equus, Tucson and some others. The company is really working hard on the development of all these models so that all the releases can be made according to schedule.

This thing has also been planned that after 2011 when all the scheduled releases will be made, the company will bring significant new entries in 2012 and 2013. The Hyundai’s first fuel cell electric vehicle and some other exciting models will be brought in that next lineup.

Previously the name Toyota got associated with the acceleration problem that gave quite much trouble to the company and now the company is stuck again into a problem, the company has recently announced that they are going to recall 1.1 million Corolla and Corolla Matrix for the years 2005-08 and this all happened after more than 1000 complaints of stalling.

The other part of the statement says that “Cracks may develop at solder points or on the electronic component used to protect circuits against excessive voltage — in some cases stopping the engine while the vehicle is being driven”.

Lexus LX 470

Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) USA Inc., has recently announced that Lexus will conduct a voluntary safety recall of almost 39,000 2003-2007 Model Year LX 470 vehicles. This will be done to take care of a steering shaft condition.

However, they also informed that no other Toyota or Lexus vehicles would be involved in this large-scale safety recall.

An announcement had been made by Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan, in late July this year, and the action follows that very announcement.

Lexus has decided that the construction of the steering shaft on the LX 470s in question has been done in such a way that the snap ring on the shaft may possibly disengage when the vehicle experiences an unusually severe impact to the front wheels – like for instance when it strikes a deep pothole. So if the snap ring becomes disengaged the steering wheel would be repeatedly turned to the full locked position, then there would be a gradual disengaging over time, of the steering shaft.
