FHI (Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.) gives proof to the world that it is continuing to try very hard to stretch the possibilities of vehicles and their performance to levels that have not been tried or accomplished before.

Exactly how have they demonstrated this? Through an exclusive video footage that the company has released; this footage shows the kind of research and experiments that the Subaru vehicles have been trying out and practicing- and all this is done on the Nurburgring’s racetracks which are in Germany. The vehicle that they used for these experiments in the footage is the 2011 Subaru WRX STI 4-door sedan.

So what is the concept behind this 2011 Subaru that is being tested? That it would be labeled as the fastest WRX STI to exist ever. You might not be aware of this, but with a Subaru vehicle, this concept of being the “fastest” does not necessarily only mean driving at the fastest speed possible or having the maximum degree of output from the engine, but it also actually means driving with sheer confidence. Therefore, the WRX STI can be tagged as the “fastest ever” only when technology takes it to a level where the driver of the vehicle has complete confidence and control over the Subaru with the fastest ever performance.

For the test the most important upgrades made to the 2011 WRX STI were made to the suspension set up as well as the chassis. It was Tommi Makinen who was given the honor of piloting this first test drive.

Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, announced today of their decision to exhibit the “SUBARU HYBRID TOURER CONCEPT” in China for the first time at 2010 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

The exhibition is scheduled to be held in April in Beijing, China. The model will be open to the press on April 23 and 24 and to the public from April 25 through May 2. Also to be showcased are the Subaru Legacy and Outback models and the Subaru’s unique technical exhibits include the cut body of the Forester model.

Alongside these displays and throughout the booth design, FHI will also showcase the efforts of Subaru in combining authentic, reliable and safe driving with the global environment. This is based on the “Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD)” and “Horizontally-Opposed Boxer Engine” which forms a part of Subaru’s core technologies.

The press conference to be held by President Ikuo Mori is to be held at the Subaru booth on April 23. The exterior is eye catching and the employment of Subaru’s core technologies reflects their vision for the future grand touring car.

It will be open to the press from March 31 up to April 1 and to the public from April 2 up to April 11. 4-door as well as 5-door models are available and for the first time, they come with a wide body design. The new model is built with a wider track, higher wheels and tyres and the newly designed front area gives it a sporty appeal and a strong road presence. The 2011 Impreza WRX model is to be launched in the U.S markets in summer and the press conference is to be held on April 1, 2010 at the Subaru booth.

The 4-door and 5-door are both powered by the same turbocharged/intercooled 2.5-liter 4-cylinder BOXER engine which includes a 5-speed manual transmission. The interiors are spacious, sporty and versatile while the exterior looks catchy. The ring-shaped reinforcement frame body structure with front and rear crumple zones give it outstanding crash stability. All in all, it is well able to satisfy the expectations of all loyal WRX fans out there.

After the shipment of the Subaru Impreza WRX in the 2001, the company has also increased the trust that enthusiast had on the automobile firm. But for these minor achievements, Subaru has not yet come with an impeccable model to sweep everyone of their feet.

It has not been able to come up as a successful firm when it comes to sales of its cars and it has not been able to win the tough competition with other legends.

Though there is innovation and originality, the manufacturers at Fuji Heavy Industries must concentrate on a consistent design that people would love to buy.

They need to think from the public point of view and design their cars with a layman in their mind if they ought to win the tough fight to the top place. Again all these answers could not been given by a single man behind the WRX STI rally car renderings.

One thing that’s worth mentioning here is the car’s style that has made people shout, “Oh it’s damn hot” in seeing its pictures in the Autoblog. The images of the new Subaru come in the courtesy of one man, Lars Martensson. According to him, the new STI need to be purposeful to the public and must be swat and mean if it needs to be popular.

It is a well designed car with an interior that is remarkably worked out and an exterior that looks awful.

The new exterior is designed with an aggressive and ‘statement’ look.

This new design is modeled because of 20 years of successful production of Legacy.

Legacy’s bold looks come from its prominent fenders on all the four wheels.

The shapes are made more visible by sharpening the lines. The lights are also given a special shape to heighten the aggressive look.

The front lights installed with LED are given a vertical shape. The front is embellished with a large grill with the logo on it in the center.

Subaru Legacy is packed with technology. Cameras are installed to view the back, on both sides. The side view mirrors are of a wedge style.

The interior is quite different too. The back of the front seats are installed with display screens and monitors for the rear cameras.

Seats are covered with light leather whereas the interior of the car is covered with black leather. It is a beautiful contrast and combination.

The wheel base is 3.2 inches longer than those currently present, to provide a roomy interior. Interior is comfortable and entertaining. The exterior is elegant and graceful.

This car altogether can be regarded as a new success idea car.
