The Los Angeles Auto Show happens to be one of the most popular auto shows showcasing a range of over 900 vehicles, some being world debuts from manufacturers like Ford, Porsche, Subaru, Volkswagen and many more. Generally held in November-December this exhibition lasts for 10 days and is open to public.
Freshly manufactured to crazily modified the Los Angeles Auto show 2009 had it all, from Chevrolet’s first electric car-the Volt, the Volkswagen New Beetle (final Edition), to the evergreen Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid. This is one of the best places to find cheap, convenient to flashy and uber-expensive vehicles. Press conferences had also been held announcing the unveiling of specially designed cars like the Scion which apparently takes tailgating to a whole new level. A brilliant modification on Kogi xD comes with a built-in-grill, refrigerator and working sink. Another Scion production the Five Axis Dj xB is practically a disco-on-the wheels.

20,000 job cut Downs At Nissan; Record Loss In 9 Years
On Monday Nissan has recorded its first loss in almost a decade. This economical crunch has forced Nissan, the third biggest automotive in Japan, to slice down 20,000 employees.
The expected net loss of Nissan Motor Co. is 265 billion Yen i.e. $2.9 billion for the fiscal year across March. Nissan is facing a yearly loss for the first time in the past 9 years. Carlos Ghosn, Chief Executive Nissan said, “The global auto industry is in turmoil, and Nissan is no exceptional.”
In an effort to subside the loss impact, Nissan is expelling a large number of employees. By March 2010, Nissan will reduce the number of employees from 235,000 to 215,000. The board directors too will not enjoy their bonus for the year, ending in March.

2009 Honda Civic: A review
When in 1970s fuel prices jumped because of the first gas crisis of that decade, Honda came there with its Civic that was indeed a neat solution. The Civic was a real big hit with its space-efficient dimensions, 40mpg fuel economy and reliable nature.
Though the Civic was much smaller than automotive luminaries like the Vega, Gremlin and Pinto, it had light sporty feel and a lot more room for passengers.
Now after more than three decades, the fuel prices have jumped again and savvy consumers are again marching towards Honda dealers in search of another neat solution. But the 2009 Honda Civic is much more luxurious and larger than that of disco era Civic.
