Toyota Got Busy In another Recall, Now For the Corolla Models
Previously the name Toyota got associated with the acceleration problem that gave quite much trouble to the company and now the company is stuck again into a problem, the company has recently announced that they are going to recall 1.1 million Corolla and Corolla Matrix for the years 2005-08 and this all happened after more than 1000 complaints of stalling.
The company has showed up this thing in a statement that, the company is addressing some engine control modules that may have been improperly made and this report has also been provided that all the affected models were sold in North America.
The other part of the statement says that “Cracks may develop at solder points or on the electronic component used to protect circuits against excessive voltage — in some cases stopping the engine while the vehicle is being driven”.
Stability Control Now Standard For Corolla
Corolla
The Toyota Corolla has been the favorite small car of Australia for the past decade or so – and now it has been made even better by the safety of the vehicle stability control (VSC), which has now been made standard across the range.
All the Corolla sedan models which have been produced since December, and the ones available in Toyota dealerships now – have the standard fitment of VSC – this also comes with traction control.
The main thing to remember is that these two technologies combine, giving the driver better control of the car – especially in slippery and low-traction conditions. An upgrade was made last year, which made the stability and traction control standard for the Corolla hatch.
Safety Upgrade for Corolla Hatch
Corolla Hatch
The active and passive safety of the Corolla hatchback range has been increased by Toyota. These safety upgrades are part of the mid-cycle facelift for the 1.8 liter dual VVT-I Corolla five-door hatch range. Corolla sells more than 35 million cars worldwide, which makes it the world’s largest selling car; it also sells over one million cars in Australia.
Due to the facelift, all the hatch models of Corolla will have Vehicle Stability Control, commonly referred to as VSC, and also Traction Control (TRC), which will now be standard equipment. All the models will also be having four SRS airbags as part of the standard equipment, and there will be a facelift addition of front-seat side SRS airbags as well.
The Corolla Hatchback Conquest and the Levin ZR also have seven SRS airbags as part of the standard equipment; this includes driver’s knee airbag and full-length curtain-shield airbags as well. The Corolla Ascent and Levin SR can be chosen with the optional safety pack, this includes seven airbags in total.
