The premium all-terrain HUMMER brand has now acquired new defining stretching with the Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. Ltd.

The new terms of definitive agreement has got buyers all over the ownership of the HUMMER brand. The new trademark and tradenames are also coming with IP specific licenses for those who sign under them. The new manufacturing company for HUMMER vehicles is all about expanding dealership work.

Tengzhog also creates an investment for the fresh entity of keeping 80% of interest at stake. Mr. Suolang Duoji is all about private entrepreneurship and bringing in some of the greatest A-listed business specifications to this new investment. He has made sure to include Hong Kong based thenardite producer Lumena into 20% of the stake. The financial terms and agreements to this whole process however have not been disclosed so far.

It is now easier to buy cars online. General Motors and eBay has come in contract with their trial program starting Tuesday.

The dealers at 225 locations are about to participate from California to run a program from Tuesday. This program is about to continue till 8th September. The details of the program would be available from gm.ebay.com.

The site allows people to compare the prices of varied cars and arrange finances accordingly. It is a great eye opening procedure to buy this way as advertisement prices come with offers that are too splendid to resist. The site has also launched in the trade-in program that takes for eBay’s auctioning system a notch ahead. The “Buy It Now” option bears some of the hottest deals that advertisers have held up so far.

General Motors is looking for the possibility of reprocessing the rear-wheel-drive performance sedan for the general public and law enforcement agencies. GM vice chairman Bob Lutz has confirmed that in an online chat.

General motors just a week after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection has unveiled all the new 2010 Chevrolet Equinox which neither been a loser nor had it been a winner in the compact crossover segment. As per the General motors plans the car is hoped to grab a major share in this segment!!! Equinox has got its new powertrains, with a four cylinder engine for the first time. Coming with the pairing of six – speed automatic transmissions with the 3.0 liter V6 engine model and the 4 cylinder engine model it seems to have everything new about it!! Only the sunroof module is seen to be carried over to the new module. Otherwise everything else has been modified and substituted. The General Motors has announced on Monday that the production of Chevrolet Kodiak and the GMC Topkick medium- duty vehicles will cease by the end of July. Earlier General Motors has spent around 4 years searching for buyers for the medium-duty truck business but now as decided against this and has confirmed that it will wind down its medium-duty truck business.

It was in 2007, GM developed a tentative deal with Navistar International Corp that accepted to buy GM’s medium- duty truck operations. Unfortunately the deal expired last summer without any proper conclusion.

The automobile giant and the owner of Penske Automotive, Robert Penske has decided that Penske automotives will buy Saturn from the General Motors. The deal was finalized on Friday, and the deal will close in the third quarter. GM would still continue its production of Saturn Aura, the Vue and the outlook but it would do all these for Penske Automotive on a contract basis. The automobile experts hope that this deal will further strengthen Penske Automotive which the world second largest car retailer company now.

When asked about the deal GM said that, this deal has saved around 350 Saturn dealers and more than 1300 jobs at the Saturn. Penske spoke out to the press and praised Saturn for its customer base and the dealer network.

Its good news to all car lovers that GM has finally announced that it would start the production of Chevrolet Camaro convertible vehicles in early 2011. Earlier, GM has plans for producing high performance Chevrolet Camero Z28 vehicles and also starting the production of convertible Camaro.

But due to the economic recession, the earlier plan was dropped. The later too was on hold indefinitely as it had some issues with the German based company that are to supply the part for the convertible’s roof. All the issues are now resolved and German company have signed a new contract with GM which had made the company to announce it plans of convertible Camaro in the Automotive news.

Canadian auto parts maker Magna, Italian automaker Fiat and Belgian investment company RHJ International have emerged as the final bidders for GM’s subsidiary Opel.

So far, it has been confirmed by fiat that they have put a bid for Opel acquisition and the final bids for the company are due on Wednesday evening.

The US government has issued a June 1st deadline to the GM to restructuring of its business and gets some concessions from the holders as well as for getting more loans however, according to GM it’s not seeing that they are going to complete the deadline. A considerable number of observes believe that GM will soon file a bankruptcy protection on this date.

According to the Free Press report, talks between UAW and GM are heating up and there is hope that the deal between these two will soon be finalized.

The bond exchange from GM is also coming near as 26th of May is a deadline for it, the automaker will have to successfully restructure its debt by June without going into court otherwise it will have to bear bankruptcy.

However, the offer has been criticized by the bondholders.
A source that is aware with the talks between GM and UAW reports that things seem to go in the right direction.

The new 2010 Chevy Camaro will soon be treading the road and GM’s Pontiac seems quite on its way. If it had occurred nearly one or two decade earlier, there would be a Pontiac version with the same sickness known as the Trans-Am.

Even the final nail wasn’t put in the coffin of Pontiac and lo!  GM didn’t have any intention at all to develop the newest Camaro based Trans-Am.

But if not GM, someone else would certainly do it and now ASC comes to accomplish that. ASC or American Specialty Cars is a subcontractor that is quite popular for its different convertibles that can be seen on the road these days like Toyota Camry, Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder and Solara Convertible.
