Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord have been serving as top choices for nearly two decades when it comes to family sedan. A large number of owners seem quite satisfied considering their safety and reliability.
People who want to pick one out of them often prefer Camry when they looked for some softly sprung that had elegant isolation, while those who preferred a sporty ride; The Accord was really a thing for them.
The saying still holds some truth even today, but when it’s about midsized family sedans, a lot changes have occurred with the passage of time and now the Accord is emerging with a bigger and better redesign.
Honda’s FC Sport and FCX Clarity
With the launch of its 2009 FCX at LA auto show 07, Honda clarified its concept for hydrogen fuel vehicles. At present this production ready vehicle has been leased a selected customers’ group.
The company has tried to retrieve itself by introducing the Honda FC Sport, one year back and it was basically a new interpretation of the FCX Clarity as sports vehicle.
The FCX Clarity has been hyped as totally unique car, but still it is quite similar to different Honda sedans. It resembles other Honda Sedans, but obviously it’s not like other Honda’s vehicles.
Honda Cancels NSX Development
To reform its auto business in these days of recession, Honda has announced to cancel the development of its new NSX.
With its V10 powered engine, NSX was quite well-known as a direct challenger to Porsche and Ferrari, and it could be the most powerful supercar that Honda had ever produced.
Honda’s Chief Executive Takeo Fukui told about that move in his year end address. He said that all development of the NSX had been canceled and the company also withdrew from its plan of introducing its Acura brand in Japan during 2010.
Honda Insight: A new petrol saving machine
Honda Insight will be the first car to use Honda’s newly developed Ecological Drive Assistance System. The car has been especially designed to make mileage of hybrid even better.
The thing that you may find as its one of the most interesting features is a speedometer that changes color to driving fuel-efficient with immediate guidance.
If you are not in hurry and sailing smooth on highways, the speedo will show you all green, it shows light blue when you sharply slow down or speed up. If you show a genuine lead foot, it will turn dark.
2010 Honda Accord: some glimpses
There would be no major changes in the 2010 Honda Accord. Coupes and Sedans with four-cylinder and V6-power and they would be available with a 177-190 horsepower, 4-cylinder 2.4-liter or a 271-hp 3.5-liter V6.
The V6 will keep going with Honda’s variable Cylinder Management cylinder deactivation and similarly sedans and Coupes will keep going with EX and EX-L trim levels.
Sedan will also be coming in entry-level LX and LX-P versions and similarly, an entry-level LX-S coupe will also be offered soon.
