Rolls Royce with Their $1.7 Billion Win
Rolls-Royce has won $1.7 billion with their new orders. The global power systems have secured this big deal during their Farmborough Air Show showcasing the leading edge technology that this group is bringing through itself. This has created a great renewal through the success of the market capability showed through this company.
The fresh Rolls-Royce aircraft is going to be debuted at the Farmborough market. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the Airbus A40M have been the models released through this debut. The market leadership has been coming through a totaling of over $1 billion when it came for higher energy powers. The 17 Airbus A330s have been coming through Aeroflot, Russia’s national airline and Garuda Indonesia Airlines. Garuda has also extended through TotalCare agreement in covering its Trent 700 engines as well as Sichuan Airlines through 12 year Total Care package agreement.
Rolls Royce bags costly power generation orders
Rolls-Royce seems to have done it again as they have very recently announced that they have received record orders that adds up to more than nearly two hundred million dollars, and this is for the equipment that they provide for electrical power generation and supply. Most of their customers are based in countries such as Bangladesh, Spain, Australia as well as Yemen.
This can only mean that the confidence that customers have in the quality of power generation provided by Rolls Royce is only on the rise; this is an a proud announcement that the company made recently in Amsterdam at the Power-Gen Europe conference.
The products that the company is delivering are of course doing the basic job of generating power in an excellent fashion; but not only that the advanced technology that the company uses makes sure that the emission levels are very low which means that the company is also doing its bit for the environment.
Rolls-Royce wins second contract to power major gas pipeline in India
The global power systems company, Rolls-Royce, has got its second contract in two years, from the Gas Authority India Ltd. (GAIL), for the purpose of supplying power systems for a major gas pipeline project. This new contract is said to be valued at 90 million dollars.
The new order has been given to four Rolls-Royce RB211 packages, which would be used on the 500 km Vijaipur-Dadri Bawana Pipeline (VDPL), which runs from Vijaipur to Dadri – part of the larger VDPL project. It follows a 130 million dollars contract award in 2008, for six RB211 gas compressor sets for the 600 km stretch of Dahej-Vijaipur (DVPL) pipeline which runs from Dahej (Gujarat) to Vijaipur (Madhya Pradesh).
All the ten Rolls-Royce gas turbine packages would be used for the purpose of increasing the flow of gas on these important projects in India – and this will support GAIL in the contribution to the country’s requirement of infrastructure.
Rolls-Royce having share of $100 million worth in Sichuan Airlines V2500
Rolls-Royce, the company of Global Power Systems, has got a share in the order from Sichuan Airlines for V2500 engines to boost 12 Airbus A320 Aircraft, it worth $100 million. This agreement is an on-going service for engines of the Aircrafts, to be supplied during the years of 2011 to 2015.
The existing line of 61 Aircrafts of A320 family and the order is absolutely powered by the V2500. International Aero Engines Consortium is producing the V2500 engines, where Rolls Royce is a major share holder. The other partners are Pratt & Whitney, MTU Aero Engines and the Japanese Aero Engines Corporation.
Airbus aircrafts, A319, A320 and A321will be powered by 22’000-33’000 lb V25000 engine and some other aircrafts as well. There are around 6’000 V2500 engines are under the services around the world.
‘Baby Rolls’ Rolls-Royce 200EX Previewed
Rolls-Royce’s new concept car is called 200EX is scheduled to be shown at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. Pictures of the ‘Baby Rolls’ have been released.
The name of the concept car 200EX refers back to prewar prototypes revived in 2004 on 100EX.
With the release of its pictures “clues to a new Rolls-Royce model scheduled for production in 2010” is clearly evident.
