Toyota’s Camry and Tacoma won “Best Car for the Money Award”
On 12th February 2014, US News and World Reports: a nationally recognized publisher of consumer advice and information announced the 2014’s best cars for the money from 21 automotive categories including small compact cars to full size pickup truck. They chose Toyota’s Camry and Tacoma for the award as these are offering great value.
This year international automotive brands clean swept the domestic car companies and took home 13 awards in different categories. Toyota with its sub-brands, Scion and Lexus leads the game and won most awards in five categories including Sports cars, midsize sedan, compact pickup trucks, Hybrid SUVs and Luxury 2- Row Midsize SUV.
Toyota’s Camry won the best car for the money award in the best midsize car for the money category and Tacoma won the honor in the category of best midsize pickup truck. The methodology of choosing a Best car for the Money is simple in which the experts combine quality and value data into a composite rate. Within each of 21 categories a vehicle that scores a higher score is then honor as a perfect match for the Best Car for the Money award. For the measurement of quality, the experts consider the overall score that a car achieved in the US News car rankings. The formula to measure the value of the car is a combination of a vehicle’s five year total cost of ownership and the average price paid for that particular vehicle at the time of publishing awards.
