Volkswagen is the leading automobile company in producing passenger cars and it is the largest automaker in Europe. In 2011, it introduced couple of new models and has planned to introduce more vehicles with maximum safety value. Volkswagen has integrated Electronic Stability Control System in all 2011vehicles.

On 3rd of May official sources of Volkswagen unveiled that 28,542 units has been sold in April 2011 that added 23% to sale of previous year, April 2011 has been named as the “Best Sales Month”. Last time in 2003, November was tagged as “Best Sales Month” now it’s a big achievement for the Volkswagen because despite of the bad impacts of Japan’s catastrophe it improved its sales.

President and CEO of Volkswagen of America, Jonathan Browning said, “We are gaining traction in the U.S. market, with our Jetta model continuing to lead the way, the numbers show our product line up is responding to consumer needs for performance, precision engineering and smart fuel economy. The enthusiasm and demand for our products is unmistakable and we see this trend continuing when the new Bettle and U.S built Passat hit showroom floors this fall.”

Total sales of Volkswagen Jetta are 16,955 which have enhanced 74% than last year, on the other hand increase in sales of Touareg that is a sport utility vehicle is reported as 62% and that of Tiguan is estimated to be 47 percent. Clean Diesel High Mileage TDI model has contributed to above 23% of total sales of April.

Volkswagen aims to improve its sales by the end of year 2011 and it has lined up some new models that will be introduced in coming months.
