Powertrain
All models of 2012 Toyota Corolla are powered by 1.8L DOHC 4-cylinder engine which delivers 132 Horsepower and torque of 128 lb-ft. Double Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) for improved performance and enhanced fuel efficiency.
Engines of base Corolla and Sporty S Grade are coupled with 5-speed manual transmission and 4-speed automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission whereas LE model is available in standard automatic transmission.

Exterior
Exterior styling of 2012 Toyota Corolla has been done from Turin, Italy and sporty features have been added in its exterior. Wheelbase of Corolla is 102.4 inches and its truck is 12.3 cubic feet. Character lines moves from hood to the A-pillar and turn back from top edge of front bumper to add a muscular look in front fender flares. Some more lines move backward and come at door level to highlight the low profile of Corolla. To reduce paint damage from stone chip, Toyota has employed inner layers of anti-chipping coating.

S model of Toyota Corolla features a standard body kit which gives it a sporty appearance and also improves the aerodynamics. Standard body kit includes; front spoiler, rocker moldings, upper and lower back spoilers.
Improved Exterior Features to Reduce Wind Noise
Toyota has designed the exterior of 2012 Toyota Corolla keeping in view the wind noise reduction and A-pillar is particularly designed for this purpose. Windshield is composed of acoustic glass and window-frame structure has been modified to decrease the vibration of side glass. Additionally modified shape of windshield molding and wiper blade covers also helps in wind noise reduction.
Interior
2012 Toyota Corolla is meant for 5 passengers and its cabin facilitate the driver and passengers to accommodate inside with full comfort even taller people can easily sit and enjoy the ride.
