Bentley to uncover Continental GTC at Detroit show
With its new Continental GTC, Bentley will complete its Speed collection at the Detroit show.
Aside from exterior and interior changes, this new GTC Speed version will house a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 twin-turbocharged powertrain. It will generate 600hp and torque of 553-lb-ft. The previous regular GTC was available with 48hp with 74 lb-ft torque.
Undoubtedly, it would be the most powerful convertible from Bentley till update. With 195 mph of top speed it achieves 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds.
Some other changes are a retuned dampening system that helps to reduce shaking and body pitch, tougher rear axle, low ride height and a new dynamic setting for stability. Similarly, it will also feature a quick responding steering system as well as low friction dampeners for a real improved quality ride.
An upright styling, large lower air intakes, headlight bezels in chrome and new front have also been shared in the two models. In the front the GTC Speed has dark tinted grilles and ultrahigh performance tires, dual-exhaust tips and lip spoiler have also been introduced.
In its interior, Mulliner package features have been adopted and there are leather and chrome shifter, quilted seats, steering wheel, brushed aluminum trim and polished Speed side sills.
Similarly, the adaptive cruise control system and carbon-ceramic brakes are optional. Both the models will be available in the summer.
