Chevrolet has been working on some of the new vehicles that they can introduce in the market this year. Now, Chevrolet is all set to come up with the 2014 Chevrolet SS which is the new sports sedan or performance sedan that will soon hit the market. Chevrolet has already made an announcement for the suggested retail price which is $44,470 including $995 destination charge. Chevrolet also mentioned that the title and license fees will be charged additionally to this retail price. While discussing more on the 2014 Chevrolet SS the automaker said that the new SS will be available at the dealerships in the last quarter of the year 2013.

Chevrolet also claimed that this will be the first rear drive performance sedan that they are launching in the market since 1996 and will offer better options to car buyers that need rear wheel drive sedans. Chevrolet also said that this will also offer the company a solid stand in the market as they launch the new 2014 Corvette Stingray and 2014 Camaro Z28 in the same year. The all new 2014 Chevrolet SS offers an upgraded engine compared to the previous version with LS3 6.2 liter small block V8 SAE certified engine that delivers 415 horsepower and 415 lb feet of torque. The car accelerates from zero to 60 mph in almost five seconds. The engine is coupled with six speed automatic transmission that has TAPshift paddles mounted on the steering wheels.

Chevrolet claims that the designers have also made changes to the structure of the vehicle that optimizes the weight distribution and low center of gravity. 2014 Chevrolet SS will be available in five different colors Mystic Green, Silver Ice Metallic, Red Hot 2, Phantom Metallic Black and Heron White. However, all interiors will be Jet Black and will feature sport front bucket seats.
