Choosing the Cadillac that’s Right for You

There’s no better feeling than getting behind the wheel of your brand new Cadillac. Whether you’re 25 or 65, there’s just something surreal about knowing you are the proud owner of a new car. Cadillacs have long been known as THE car of retirees; but over the years, the company has shifted its focus and marketing, to appeal to a younger, sophisticated crowd. It’s obviously working. More and more young people are looking to buy these luxury cars and enjoying the ride!
So what makes a Cadillac so special? In three words – Comfort, Power and Style. Not to mention that it’s been one of America’s best-selling luxury car since the 1900’s when it was founded out of the remnants of the Henry Ford Company. It was purchased a few years later by General Motors, and the rest, as they say, is history.
There are thousands of Cadillac dealers across the country, so if you’re in the market for a new car and want that car to be a Cadillac, you won’t have to go far to find one. Cadillac of Lake Lanier, for example, has an exceptional inventory of new and used Cadillacs and knowledgeable staff that get you behind the wheel of your new car for less money than you may think.
Before you visit in person, though, you may want to do some research in order to narrow down your choices. Here are a few things to consider:
Your Style: When you envision yourself behind the wheel of your new car, what do you see? Is a mid-size sedan, like a CT6, what you’re after, or do you like the idea of a sportier model, like the ATS, or Escala convertible? Perhaps you want a crossover or large model, like the Escalade. There is no right or wrong answer here! Just make sure the model you choose aligns with your budget.
Passengers: Is this car going to be driven mostly by you and/or your spouse? Are you going to commute back and forth to work every day? Or will you need room for your family and sports equipment? Saturday morning soccer games mean you’ll need plenty of room for snacks, balls, and team members! Consider who will be in your vehicle much of the time when you’re deciding on a particular model.
Safety: No matter which model you choose, you want to make sure it has all of the standard safety features. You’re in luck because most models offer standard features like airbags, rear parking sensors, and a Driver Awareness Package. Backup cameras and driver assist (parking) are optional features on most models. Of course, anti-lock brakes are a standard feature on all models.
Features: Your new Cadillac will be equipped with many standard features, including power windows, power doors, Bluetooth capability, GPS and more. Optional features include a sunroof and detailing packages.
So, to sum things up here is a breakdown of some of the more popular Cadillac models:
SUV – Cadillac Escalade
Crossover – Cadillac SRX
Mid-size sedan – Cadillac CTS
High-Performance sedan – Cadillac CTS-V
Whichever model you choose, you can be sure of one thing – this isn’t your grandfather’s car anymore! With its innovative technology, forward-thinking engineering, and record for excellence, Cadillac has become the car that suits all generations, young and old. You don’t have to retire to Florida in order to own one. Cadillac sales are once again on the rise, and the company is as proud of its history as it is of its future prospects.
