Honda Launched its First MPV in India
Honda has launched its first MPV ‘Mobilio’ on 23rd July14 in India. It is a fantastic family car which can accommodate 7 persons altogether. Mobilio’s recent launch is making MPV segment hot in India. Most of the leading car manufacturers; Hyundai, VW, Tata have confirmed that MPV market is going to be more fierier in the coming days.
Indian market is already equipped with other MPV’s but Mobilio’s direct rival Maruti-Suzuki Ertiga is already well established. Like Ertiga, it has been also launched in both variant, Petrol and Diesel with their known i-VTECH and i-DTECH technology respectively.
The Honda’s i-VTEC technology is already proven and widely accepted by the Indian users. Under the hood of the Honda Mobilio, 1.5 cc i-VTECH Engine which develops 119 bhp@6600 rpm while the diesel 1.5 cc i-DTECH engine develops 100 bhp@3600rpm; Mobilio’s engine transmission is 5-speed manual.
More importantly, Honda has finally done a great job by making Mobilio’s ground clearance of 189 mm as most of the Honda’s car ground clearance is 165 mm only which is not compatible with the Indian roads. Steering system of this MPV is equipped with ‘collapsible electric power’ in petrol and ‘Collapsible Electric Power Assisted’ in Diesel.
Honda’s Mobilio, comes in Six attractive colors, Brilliant Gold (metallic), Carnelian (Rock poorl), I Rhan (T torium metallic), Taffetta (white), Alahaster (silver metallic) and Majestic (metallic blue).
Its exterior is equipped beautifully with solid wing face front chrome Grille, eye catching headlamps, micro antenna, Rear Defogger, high mount stop LED lamp, Attractive rear combi lamp and spoke alloy wheels.
On the other hand, Interior of the Mobilio fits in perfectly with Honda’s ‘Man maximum Machine minimum’ Philosophy that believes in maximizing space for you and minimizing space taken by the machinery. This philosophy reflects in the car perfectly.
