Honda has made an announcement that they are going to participate in the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb that allows them to further push their commitment in the field of racing in North America.

Honda said that they will participate in the event as a sponsor and also as a race participant and will field products in nine race classes. This will be for the first time that any OEM has managed to participate in so many race classes at the event.

American Honda Motor Co said that they will be the Partnering Sponsor for the 2013 Pikes Peak that is scheduled for June 30, 2013 in Colorado.

Mike Accavitti SVP of Automotive Operations for American Honda said that this will be a nice opportunity for the company to showcase their talent and Honda’s diverse lineup of products that can win races. Honda said that they also want to energize many Honda fans around the world and make their presence felt in all racing events that are happening across the globe and in North America. Mike Accavitti said that they will team up with various divisions like Honda R&D Americas Inc and Honda Performance Development that will allow them to bring out wide range of products to the race.
