Lexus Announces CT 200h Premium Compact Hybrid For U.S. Market – On Display at 2010 New York International Auto Show

Recently Lexus announced that the new CT 200h, the first dedicated hybrid vehicle in the premium compact segment, will go on sale in the U.S in early 2011. The 5 door CT 200h made its debut in the Geneva Motor Show in early March and will now be on display from March 21 to April 11 in the New York International Auto Show.

As promised by the Lexus Division Group Vice President and General Manager, Mark Templin, this car is supposed to be a leader in its class for fuel economy and deliver low emissions. In addition, it is promised to be a dynamic, fun car that will titillate the “eco-conscious, young consumers and symbolize urban, luxury living.”
The CT 200h is built with a 1.8L Atkinson cycle four-cylinder gas engine with VVT-i and Lexus Hybrid Drive Technology. It will also be equipped with four modes; Normal, Eco, EV and Sport. Like all Lexus cars, it will be equipped with many standard safety features such as anti-lock brakes, Brake Assist, TRAC, VSC to name a few.
The passenger provides for a spacious 5 passenger interior, superb handling and a comfortable ride. Needless to say, both the interior as well as the exterior design and Luxury standards are well upto the Lexus standards.
